    Terms of Service

    Last updated: November 2026

By using floridacarcamping.com you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the site.

    What this site is

Florida Car Camping publishes information about campgrounds, public lands, and camping in Florida. It's an information resource. We are not a booking service, a travel agency, a government agency, or affiliated with the Florida Park Service, the Florida Forest Service, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, any water management district, or any federal agency.

⚠️ Accuracy, and the limits of it

This matters more here than on most sites, so read it.

We work hard to get campground details right. We source information from official agencies, we record where each listing came from and when we last checked it, and we leave fields blank rather than guess.

    Even so:

    • Conditions change constantly. Campgrounds close, prices rise, bathhouses break, dump stations go out of service, gates change hours, roads wash out, and permit rules get rewritten.
    • Agencies change their own rules without notifying us.
    • Hurricanes and flooding close Florida facilities with little warning, sometimes for a season.
    • We may simply be wrong. If you find an error, tell us and we'll fix it.

Always confirm critical details directly with the campground or managing agency before you travel. That goes double for anything you're relying on — accessibility, whether you may sleep in your vehicle, medical needs, or arriving after dark.

We provide this information "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee it's accurate, complete, or current.

Camping is an outdoor activity with real risks

Camping, hiking, paddling, and driving to remote places carry risks including injury, illness, wildlife encounters, severe weather, heat illness, insect-borne disease, drowning, and death.

You are responsible for your own safety and for everyone in your group. You're responsible for assessing conditions, for your vehicle's suitability for a given road, for carrying enough water, and for obeying posted rules and the law.

Nothing on this site is a substitute for your own judgement or for official guidance from the agency managing the land.

    Affiliate links and advertising

Some links are affiliate links; if you buy through one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate programs.

Our recommendations reflect our own assessment. A commission doesn't buy a placement or a ranking, and we disclose affiliate relationships where they appear.

The site also displays third-party advertising. We don't control advertisers' content and don't endorse what they sell.

    Using the site

You may read, share, and link to our pages freely. You may not:

    • Copy our content wholesale and republish it as your own
    • Scrape the site at a rate that burdens it, or build a competing database from it
    • Use the site unlawfully, or try to break, probe, or interfere with it
    • Misrepresent yourself as affiliated with us

    Our content

Text, layout, and original photography on this site belong to Second Act unless stated otherwise.

Factual information about public campgrounds — locations, amenities, prices, agency rules — is not ours to own, and we make no claim to it. Our compilation, descriptions, and editorial work are.

Some images are used under license or in the public domain and are credited where required.

    Third-party links

We link to agency sites, reservation systems, and retailers. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.

    Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Second Act is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on its information — including trip costs, wasted travel, property damage, or personal injury.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, in which case the limitation applies as far as the law allows.

    Corrections

If something here is wrong, please tell us at [info]@floridacarcamping.com. We'd rather be corrected than be wrong. Rangers, campground operators, and campers who've just been there are all welcome.

    Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

    Changes

We may update these terms and will revise the date above when we do. Continued use means you accept the current version.
